Mr. Cook is a Board Certified Criminal Trial Advocate and has received an AV Rating from Martindale Hubble. He was counsel to the 2002 US Olympic Committee in criminal law.

Admitted to the Supreme Courts of the United States, England & Wales, and Utah, Mr. Cook graduated from the Brigham Young University Law School in 1982. He served three years on active duty with the U.S. Navy and holds the rank of Captain (O-6) in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He was appointed as a military judge in October 2000 and as Commanding Officer and Chief Reserve Judge of the US Naval Reserve Trial Judiciary in October 2002.

Subsequent to leaving active duty, Mr. Cook was employed by the Office of Hearings and Appeals, Social Security Administration, as a staff attorney and decision writer for the administrative law judges.

A shareholder in the litigation law firm of Cook, Skeen & Robinson, L.L.C., he has appeared before numerous administrative panels and tried over 150 cases to verdict. His US practice emphasizes Social Security Disability, plaintiff?s negligence litigation, and criminal defense. His UK practice centres on providing advice to non-profit entitities, particularly those dealing with Scottish culture and families with multi-national interests.

Representative clients include State Farm Insurance, MetLife, Bioptic Driving Network, Clan Urquhart Foundation, Society of Scottish Armigers, Utah Masonic Youth Foundation and Utah Masonic Foundation for Children. Mr. Cook maintains homes in the UK and US.

Community work includes the Chairmanship of the Utah Masonic Youth Foundation, Board of Governors of the Intermountain Shrine Hospital for Children, and Vice Chairman of the Society of Scottish Armigers.

Active in the Masonic faternity, Mr. Cook received the 33rd degree in the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in October 2003, and is a Past Potentate of El Kalah Shrine Masons and a past officer of the Grand Lodge of Utah. He is also active in English Freemasonry.
